CQC publishes the care register once a month, so some weeks carry a great deal and others carry nothing. An update with nothing in it says so and lists everything it checked.
How we decide what to send
We read the CQC register every day and keep every version. We call a home new only when the register shows it had no previous registration. Otherwise it is a change of provider. Bed counts and manager status come from files the CQC publishes now and then, and we date them to the file. Every provider is matched to Companies House or the Charity Commission before it appears.
What you can rely on
- A registration is not an opening date
- The register records the registration and nothing about when the first resident moves in.
- A change of provider is not a sale
- It is recorded as a change of provider with its date, and the record does not say why.
- Dated to the file
- Bed counts and manager status carry the date of the CQC file they came from.
- Companies, not people
- No manager, director or trustee is ever named. Location addresses only.

England, because the CQC register is England only. You choose the territory that matches the ground you serve.
Can I use this for sales?
Yes. Alerts name companies, never people, and use the home's address only. Your own marketing rules still apply.
