I sell to care homes. Account research for the businesses that sell to care homes
Know which care homes changed in your patch, and what kind of change it was.
A new location, an existing home under a new provider, a change of manager, a change in beds or a new rating. Each is a different conversation. Harrier tells you which you are looking at, with the company behind the home checked, so you decide who to research.

Your trade
Read for what you sell
Each page shows a real example read for that trade, the changes that matter most to it, and the three things to check first.
- Care staffing and recruitmentA new home, or a home under a new provider, is a reason to ask about staffing.
- Pharmacy and medicinesA new home or a change of provider is a dated reason to ask who supplies the medicines.
- Catering and food supplyA new home or a change of provider is a dated reason to ask who runs the kitchen.
- Care softwareA change of provider is when software gets reviewed. The register shows the change and its date.
- Equipment and fit outA new home, with its number of beds, is one more signal alongside the ones you already watch.
- CQC compliance supportA new rating or a home with no registered manager shown is a dated reason to offer help.
- Brokers, lenders and investorsThe week's new homes, changes of provider and new ratings across England, with the provider's company checked.
Method
How we decide what to send
We read the CQC register every day and keep every version. We call a home new only when the register shows it had no previous registration. Otherwise it is a change of provider. Bed counts and manager status come from files the CQC publishes now and then, and we date them to the file. Every provider is matched to Companies House or the Charity Commission before it appears.
Evidence
What you can rely on
- A registration is not an opening date
- The register records the registration and nothing about when the first resident moves in.
- A change of provider is not a sale
- It is recorded as a change of provider with its date, and the record does not say why.
- Dated to the file
- Bed counts and manager status carry the date of the CQC file they came from.
- Companies, not people
- No manager, director or trustee is ever named. Location addresses only.
Questions
Common questions
What area does it cover?
England, because the CQC register is England only. You choose the territory that matches the ground you serve.
Can I use this for sales?
Yes. Alerts name companies, never people, and use the home's address only. Your own marketing rules still apply.
When does it start?
Today. Start the fourteen-day trial, verify your address, and the first briefing is prepared for your area. Nothing is charged.
The trial
Judge it on your own area for fourteen days
For fourteen days you receive your first briefing, then two weekly briefings, and priority changes inside your area on the day they reach us, as alerts or one daily digest. No card is taken, and nothing continues unless you choose it.
The fourteen days start when your first briefing is sent. CQC publishes the care register once a month, so some weeks carry a great deal and others carry nothing. An update with nothing in it says so and lists everything it checked.
Chris reads every first briefing himself.
